Angela is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over fourteen years of nursing experience and more than two years of mental health practice in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her professional background encompasses working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients across a
variety of psychiatric settings, including those with severe and chronic mental illnesses.
Angela aims to foster a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where patients feel comfortable, understood, and actively engaged in their care. She works with adolescents and adults facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and other mental health challenges.
Because mental health challenges can significantly impact daily functioning,
relationships, and overall well-being, seeking support is an important step toward
achieving emotional balance and an improved quality of life. Angela is passionate about helping individuals navigate these challenges through compassionate, patient-centered mental health care.
Her approach integrates medication management, supportive therapy, and practical coping strategies tailored to each patient’s needs. She is dedicated to building long-term
therapeutic relationships and empowering patients to take an active role in their
treatment.
Angela earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Louisiana State University
Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where she received the C.A.R.E. Award — a distinction conferred upon students who demonstrate exceptional achievement in
professionalism, respect, integrity, diversity, excellence, and compassion. She furthered her education by completing her Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing at the University of South Alabama, where her academic achievement earned her membership in The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Angela enjoys maintaining a healthy
work-life balance through fitness activities, time at the beach, and quality moments with friends and family. She believes that prioritizing self-care and personal wellness is
essential for maintaining overall mental and emotional well-being.
